The Minor in Art history is designed for students with a focused interest in art historical study. Possible areas of study within the minor include particular periods, cultures, or media in addition to thematic studies on topics such as criticism, reception, race, and gender.

Selected Educational Outcomes

  1. Students will gain a general knowledge of the artworks and principle artists of all major art periods of the past. 
  2. Students will analyze art within its specific original context and its later reception within specialized topics of study.
